News Tribune reviewer Sam Black praised the “stunning voices [that] soared” and opera-lovers in the audience expressed enthusiasm for the innovative staging and for Mike Reed’s evocative drawings. This, the first “opera-in-concert” presented by DFO, was a success on many levels thanks to the creativity of the many artists involved, artistic director Craig Fields and the musical talents of principal conductor Markand Thakar.

HELP us keep professional opera alive in the Arrowhead
We are calling on friends of the arts in our community who value the work of the DFO to help. If you have already made a contribution this year, we are so grateful, but please consider a second gift during these extraordinarily difficult times for the arts. All contributions, large and small, are especially meaningful to our company this month. With your tax-deductible support, the DFO will continue to inspire music lovers and strive to establish the Twin Ports as an important opera destination for people near and far.
