The DFO presented re-enactments of great moments with the most famous Divas of our time for the Sacred Heart Music Series. We honored Joan Sutherland, Leontyne Price, Maria Callas, Dame Kiri te Kanawa, Janet Baker and Frederica von Stade with arias that exemplified the best of their artistry. This concert presented three immensely talented, exciting young DIVAS - Yuhah Lee, Soprano, Perri Montané, Mezzo-soprano and Penny Shumate, Soprano. The program included music from Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Lehar, Strauss, Massenet and lighter fare to honor our mothers. Patrons were not only regaled with wonderful singing, but were served delicious desserts with champagne for a real Mother’s Day treat.
